Pennsylvania Veterans Courts

Veterans charged with non-violent crimes who come into contact with the justice system due to an addicition, mental illness or co-occurring disorders may be eligible for the Veterans Court Program. Participants of the program receive support and treatment from the Veterans Administration, for underlying problems often caused by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as, specialized probation officers and guidance from veteran mentors.
